Japanese Curry Dog

Hot dog topped with Japanese curry sauce (usually pork- or beef-based roux; vegetarian variants exist); a ballpark/specialty-stand staple in Japan.

A ballpark and festival variant in Japan: a hot dog topped with thick, mildly spiced Japanese curry and sometimes shredded cabbage or cheese. It leverages the ubiquity of kare raisu (curry rice) and convenience‑stand dogs.
