Boerewors Roll

"Farmers' Sausage" - Grilled boerewors sausage in a roll topped with tomato-onion sauce or relish, a popular South African street food.

South Africa’s ‘boerie roll’ pairs a coriander‑fragrant boerewors with a bun and warm tomato‑onion smoor. It’s braai food—sold at markets, matches, and roadside grills. Chutney and peri‑peri appear in some stalls, but the boerie‑plus‑smoor core defines the style. It can also frequently be found across Namibia, Botswana, and Zimbabwe.
