Perro Caliente Peruano

Hot dog in a soft bun topped with salsa criolla (onion, ají, lime), ketchup, mustard, mayo, and often crushed potato chips/papitas al hilo. Ubiquitous Peruvian street dog; locals recognize the build.

Peru’s street‑corner hot dog is dressed with salsa criolla—thinly sliced onion with lime and chili—plus ketchup, mustard, and sometimes mayonnaise. Crushed potato sticks add crunch at many carts. It’s a familiar snack near plazas and stadiums.
