Authentic Doyer Dog hot dog
History

The Doyer Dog is a Mexican-American fusion hot dog served at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, named after the Spanish pronunciation of “Dodgers” as “Doyers.” It reflects the strong Latino influence on LA’s food scene. The dog is typically loaded with chili, nacho cheese, jalapeños, and sometimes chopped onions or pico de gallo. It gained popularity in the 2010s as part of the stadium’s push to offer more culturally relevant and bold-flavored foods. The Doyer Dog is as much a fan experience as it is a meal—messy, spicy, and celebratory. While it may not be found far beyond Chavez Ravine, it’s become an icon of LA baseball culture.
