Completo Dinámico

Hot dog with tomato, sauerkraut (chucrut), and mayonnaise (sometimes green sauce), a variant of the Chilean Completo.

The Completo Dinámico is a variation of the classic Chilean completo, known for its overloaded, maximalist presentation. It typically features a boiled or grilled hot dog in a soft bun, topped with chopped tomatoes, mashed avocado, sauerkraut, and a heavy swirl of mayonnaise—along with optional additions like ketchup, mustard, hot sauce, or green chili. The “dinámico” version earns its name from its everything-but-the-kitchen-sink approach to toppings. It gained popularity in Chile during the mid-to-late 20th century as street carts and snack bars competed for the most extravagant versions. The completo is a national institution, and the dinámico is its most bombastic form. It’s not just a hot dog—it’s a full meal on a bun.
